Important Deadlines
On December 20, the conference committee chair sent an email to those who were accepted to present at the 2005 Cinema Studies Student Conference. If you have discarded or can no longer access this email, a generic copy of it is included below.
Please take a moment to look over some important information detailed below. There are a couple of steps you must take in the coming weeks.
- I have attached a questionnaire asking about your paper and your availability to present at the conference. Please print it, complete it, and return it to my hanging folder at the Department of Cinema Studies, 721 Broadway, south wing of the 6th floor. The questionnaire is due on January 28, 2005, 5:00 PM.
- Your final paper is due to the Committee on February 28. Due to the number of presentations we will have at the conference, we can only give each presenter 20 minutes. That means your paper will have to be short, roughly 8-9 pages (1600-1700 words). If you will be showing clips, you will have to adjust your paper's length accordingly.
- To recap, here are the important dates:
January 28: Questionnarie Due to Pamela Kerpius
February 28: Final Paper Due to Committee
March 25-26: 2005 Cinema Studies Student Conference
I hope you have a restful break. If you have any questions, please contact me.
Cheers!
Pamela
