Faculty Interview: Negar Mottahedeh this Friday, February 18
February 14, 2005 09:11 PMNegar Mottahedeh, a candidate for a full-time faculty position in the department of Cinema Studies, will give a presentation entitled: "Double Visions/Forked Tongue: On Contemporary Iranian Cinema" on Friday, February 18, 2:00 – 3:30 pm in room 656.
Professor Mottahedeh will also meet with students on Friday between 2:00 and 3:00 pm in room 656.
Negar Mottahedeh is an Assistant Professor in the Program in Literature at Duke University. She holds a PhD from the University of Minnesota in Comparative Studies of Discourse and Society. She is author of Representing the Unrepresentable: Historical Images of Reform from the Qajars to the Islamic Republic of Iran (forthcoming, Syracuse University Press) and she is currently completing a manuscript on contemporary Iranian cinema entitled Doubled Visions/Forked Tongues for Duke University Press.
