Directions to East River Park
East River Park
- Go to the corner of East 6th St and Ave D.
- Head east towards FDR Drive. On your right, you will find a pedestrian overpass. Take the overpass.
- Once you reach the other end, you're at East River Park.
- Head south (so that the East River is on your left) about the equivalent of one Manhattan block until you find the running track and a soccer field.
Chartered Bus (Game Days Only)
NYU Intramurals charters a bus. It leaves forty-five minutes before game time in front of Coles Recreation Center, corner of Bleecker and Mercer Streets. Check schedule to see actual departure time.
Public Transportation
The East Village is one of the most underserved Manhattan neighborhoods in terms of public transportation. There are no subway lines that run close to East River Park so if you elect to take the subway, you will be walking close to a mile to get to the park. The closest subway stations are:
- F or V Train to 2nd Ave Station
- L Train to 1st Ave Station
Taking the bus is a better option than the subway. You can take the M8 that runs along 8th Street/St. Mark's corridor from the West Village and the M14D that runs along 14th Street beginning at Chelsea Piers to Avenue D.
- M8 Bus to Avenue D and 10th St
- M14D Bus to Avenue D and 6th St or Houston St.
