On April 25, the Intramural League commissioner sent the following message:
We are sorry to inform all that the Coed Softball tournament will not be completed. This is due to the 4 weeks of cancellations from weather and spring break, etc. Since the semester officially ends on Monday, May 1st and the Parks Department is overbooked for all of their space and time, this decision comes with much regret. We continue to look for more space and time and other locations and alternative options for next academic year to make this a more enjoyable experience. We appreciate your understanding and hope that you all know that not having our own outdoor facilities and limitations on days is a hurdle we hope to overcome.
I am going to look into forming our own independent league across NYU departments. This is the second consecutive year that this has happened, and it's absolutely ridiculous.
